Questions before hiring a China sourcing agent
Can you handle the entire sourcing process?
We can scope coordination across manufacturer discovery, research, quotations, samples, production checks and shipping preparation. The written proposal defines the stages we coordinate, the work independent specialists perform, and the decisions you retain. You can also request one stage only.
Do I need to visit China or have a My Fair account?
No. You can use the public inquiry form from wherever you are, without creating a My Fair account. Factory visits or inspections, when useful, are separately scoped with an appropriate provider.
Are you a factory, inspection company or freight carrier?
ChinaConnect247 is operated by StructuredLayer. We provide research and project coordination; factories, inspection providers, laboratories, freight carriers and customs specialists perform their separately agreed roles. We do not present their facilities as our own.
Is supplier research the same as verification or a factory audit?
No. Research reviews available evidence and identifies what still needs checking. A catalogue entry or a public-source report is not a certification, factory audit or guarantee. Your agreed check plan may include current document confirmation or independent physical checks.
How much does a China sourcing agent cost?
There is no single fee for every product. Our existing indicative managed-service ranges are shown below and on Services & Pricing. The quotation depends on scope, supplier count, destination, required checks, provider costs and coordination period. This inquiry creates no payment obligation.
How long does managed sourcing take?
The initial reply is normally within 1–2 working days. Project delivery is quoted separately. Samples, production, testing, inspections, freight and customs can make the full journey take months; the written plan states dependencies and milestones.
Can you work with an existing supplier or private-label product?
Yes, subject to the agreed scope. Start with your supplier, product specification, catalogue or brand goals. We can review evidence, clarify quotations, coordinate samples and identify the next checks. Intellectual-property permissions and product requirements still need confirmation.
Do you guarantee a reliable supplier, compliance or profit?
No. Evidence can be incomplete and circumstances can change. Supplier reliability, payment safety, product compliance, sales and profit cannot be guaranteed. You decide whether to proceed based on the evidence and the checks agreed for your project.
