English service guide and inquiry

Source for the United States with importer responsibilities visible.

A sourcing price is only one part of a U.S. import decision. ChinaConnect247 coordinates supplier evidence, specifications, approved quotations and shipping preparation while the buyer and appointed U.S. specialists resolve classification, duties, product requirements and entry arrangements.

For U.S. importers, wholesalers, own-brand and Amazon FBA sellers comparing Chinese suppliers. We do not publish a universal duty rate or landed-cost promise; the exact goods, origin, entry date and delivery arrangements matter.

Separate product, customs and fulfilment decisions

A supplier’s ability to ship does not establish that you can lawfully import or sell the product. Assign each responsibility before booking.

Scope and practical next steps

01

Confirm identity and product scope before a deposit

Connect the legal seller, manufacturer, exporter and beneficiary to the model and specification. Ask the responsible specialist which agencies apply: consumer products, food, cosmetics, radio equipment and other categories have different rules.

  • CPSC certification applies to covered products; it is not a universal certificate for all goods.
  • For applicable certificates, the product identification must match the goods covered; overseas supplier paperwork does not automatically discharge importer duties.
  • Record test/report scope, model variants, manufacturing site and material changes; obtain additional checks where needed.
02

Use current classification and tariff advice

CBP distinguishes country of origin from country of export for Section 301. Routing Chinese-made goods through another country does not by itself establish a different origin. The importer remains responsible for entry accuracy even when using a broker.

  • Ask the broker to confirm HTS classification, customs value, origin and all applicable entry-date measures, exclusions and fees.
  • Do not reuse a past shipment’s tariff percentage without checking the current product and rules.
  • Compare named Incoterms and locations; record duties, tax, brokerage, bond, inspection and receiving costs as quoted, estimated or unknown.
03

Prepare the shipment and FBA handoff separately

For Amazon FBA product sourcing, confirm the marketplace, listing/category rules, product identifiers, unit/carton labelling and delivery process before packaging is fixed. Platform receiving is separate from customs and product compliance.

  • Appoint the importer of record before dispatch; Amazon states its fulfilment centers will not act as IOR for FBA inventory.
  • Get dated freight quotes with route, chargeable weight/volume, validity, surcharge assumptions and destination handling.
  • Assign insurance, customs, local receiving, storage, damage claims and buyer shipment-release authority.

What you receive

  • A supplier/specification evidence pack with U.S.-destination questions.
  • Comparable supplier and freight quotation assumptions within the agreed scope.
  • A responsibility and missing-document register for importer, broker and product specialists.
  • Inspection and shipping-readiness coordination only where approved; no customs or sales approval implied.

What to prepare for your brief

  • Exact model, materials/use, intended age/user, claims and available technical records.
  • U.S. delivery location, sales channel, proposed importer and appointed broker if any.
  • Order quantity, supplier quotes, carton/weight data, budget and target entry date.
  • Known tariff/product questions, sample status and requested coordination stages.

Quotation method and indicative fees

Quote the supplier review, testing/compliance coordination and production/shipping support separately as needed. Existing ranges describe different scopes. Freight, brokerage, bonds, duties, tests, product costs and storage are separate unless explicitly itemized; current provider quotations are needed for a landed-cost worksheet.

Pre-payment verification review
US$250-US$1,000
Testing and compliance coordination
US$500-US$5,000
Production and logistics coordination
US$1,500-US$15,000

Indicative USD ranges from our Services & Pricing page. Your written quotation controls the fee, deliverables, payment arrangements and separate charges.

Timing and readiness

Plan backwards from product evidence, sample approval, production readiness and broker review, then obtain a valid transport quotation. Port/customs examination, corrections and carrier changes can affect timing; no entry or delivery date is guaranteed.

Scope limits and separate work

  • ChinaConnect247 is not your U.S. customs broker, importer of record, regulator or testing laboratory.
  • No fixed tariff, duty exemption, listing approval, customs clearance or full product-compliance determination is provided by this page.
  • Actual rules and cost treatment need product-specific confirmation at the relevant entry date.

Questions about china to usa sourcing

Can a DDP quotation remove all my responsibilities?

Do not assume so. Identify the actual importer, entry method, duty basis, product obligations and excluded charges. Ask your broker to review the arrangement before relying on a delivered price.

Is CE enough for the United States?

CE marking is not blanket U.S. approval. Identify the U.S. rules and responsible parties for the exact product and claims.

Can you ship directly to FBA?

We can scope coordination with an appropriate provider. Seller eligibility, prep, appointment/receiving rules and importer arrangements must be confirmed first.

Why not show a tariff percentage?

Rates and measures depend on classification, origin, entry date and applicable exclusions or additional duties. A generic number can misstate the buying decision.
