English service guide and inquiry
Prepare a UAE buying decision around the product and import route.
A product delivered to a UAE port or free zone is not automatically ready for mainland sale. ChinaConnect247 coordinates supplier research, specifications, evidence gaps and approved shipping preparation, with the buyer and appointed UAE providers confirming the applicable import and product requirements.
For UAE importers, distributors, brands and online sellers. Start with the emirate, mainland/free-zone route, exact model and sales channel; do not assume the same approval or tax treatment for every route.

Scope and practical next steps
01Check the exact product and responsible authority
MoIAT’s regulated-product conformity service requires a valid licence and a test report from an accredited laboratory within the applicable process. This does not mean every product needs the same certificate or that a supplier’s existing document covers your model.
- Check the relevant technical regulation and whether the application/test evidence covers the model and variants.
- Ask whether radio, food, cosmetics or another category needs a different/additional authority or local registration.
- Confirm labels, instructions, electrical configuration and importer obligations for the intended market with the appropriate specialist.
02Separate supplier evidence from a conformity decision
Compare the document issuer, report number, model, applicant, manufacturer, standard and validity conditions with the goods you plan to buy. A company management certificate, CE logo or another market’s report is not automatic UAE product clearance.
- Preserve originals and ask the issuer or qualified provider about authenticity and applicability where needed.
- Record what changes in the proposed branded/modified model and whether new testing is required.
- Obtain written scope, provider quotation and buyer approval before applications or testing work.
03Quote the actual movement and commercial handoff
Identify the seller, exporter, importer, beneficiary and final receiving party. Agree a named Incoterm/location and obtain current freight and destination quotations. Free-zone location alone does not settle customs or VAT treatment for every transaction.
- Ask the broker which invoice, packing, origin and transport documents are needed for this procedure.
- List duty/tax, destination handling, inspections, insurance, storage and mainland-transfer costs separately; unknown charges stay unknown.
- Define shipment release, document review, receiving checks and the response to delays or damaged goods.
What you receive

Timing and readiness
Allow time for product classification, document gaps, any required tests/applications, sample approval and transport booking. Availability and authority/provider review affect milestones. An inquiry or supplied certificate does not reserve clearance or delivery.

Questions about china to uae sourcing
Does every product require ECAS?
Do not assume so. MoIAT distinguishes regulated products and applicable technical regulations. Identify your exact category and any other responsible authority with a qualified provider.
Does CE establish UAE approval?
No automatic equivalence is claimed. Check the exact model, regulation, required evidence, applicant and local process.
Can goods move from a free zone to mainland without further checks?
Do not assume that. Confirm the customs procedure, responsible importer, documents, product approvals and tax treatment before quoting the movement.
Can you provide a current landed price?
An agreed worksheet can combine actual supplier/provider quotes and specialist-confirmed charges. Missing freight, duty/tax or handling inputs remain identified as unknown.
