English service guide and inquiry
Check the supplier, contracting entity and payment details before committing.
Supplier verification is a set of evidence checks, not a single badge. ChinaConnect247 reviews available company information, manufacturing claims, documents and transaction details, records inconsistencies and identifies which checks need an independent specialist or a physical visit.
For a buyer comparing an unfamiliar supplier, preparing an order or reviewing changed invoice/bank details. Start with one company and a clear decision: shortlist, sample, contract or payment. The scope and evidence depth should match that decision.

Connect the company story to the transaction
Matching names across marketing material is only a start. Keep the claimed brand, legal company, production site, seller, exporter and payment beneficiary distinct until evidence explains how they relate.
- Check area
- Legal and contracting identity
- Useful evidence
- Chinese legal name, business licence, registration identifier, registered status and the entity named on the order.
- What still needs confirming
- Use the official registry where accessible; explain translation or affiliate differences rather than assuming a match.
- Check area
- Manufacturing claims
- Useful evidence
- Site address, product/process scope, facilities evidence and the role of any subcontractors.
- What still needs confirming
- Public photos and a claimed factory address do not establish current control, capacity or model-specific capability.
- Check area
- Invoice and payment beneficiary
- Useful evidence
- Contract, invoice, account holder, currency and the documented role of any related seller/exporter.
- What still needs confirming
- An unexplained personal or third-party account, or changed bank instructions, requires a pause and independent reconfirmation.
- Check area
- Reports and certificates
- Useful evidence
- Issuer, report number, named applicant/site, exact model, standard, date and scope.
- What still needs confirming
- Confirm with the issuer or qualified specialist when needed; a logo or report screenshot is not proof of applicability.
Scope and practical next steps
01Build an evidence trail with gaps visible
Record where each finding came from, when it was checked and whether it is a supplier claim, a public record or separately confirmed evidence. Missing evidence is not automatically proof of wrongdoing, and a clean public search is not proof of safety.
- Compare Chinese and English names, addresses, websites and official contact routes.
- Explain inconsistencies and ask for supporting evidence rather than silently merging entities.
- Identify priority follow-up checks and which decision should wait for them.
02Treat payment changes as a separate decision
Before a transfer, compare the order, invoice and beneficiary with the entity you intend to contract. Reconfirm changed instructions through an independently sourced official channel; do not rely only on the same email thread or business card that delivered the change.
- Ask for the reason and documentary basis for an affiliate, exporter or third-party beneficiary.
- Keep the buyer’s authorized approval separate from supplier communications.
- Use your bank and appropriate advisers for payment/security questions; research is not payment authorization.
03Escalate what desktop research cannot establish
A factory audit or site visit may help examine production claims; product inspection concerns an identified order; laboratory testing addresses specified tests. The required provider, evidence, site and product scope must be agreed separately.
- Define what a visit needs to observe, photograph or reconcile with the supplier claim.
- Confirm report/certificate scope with the issuer or specialist where appropriate.
- Do not convert a public research score or report conclusion into a guarantee of supplier reliability.
What you receive
- A company/transaction identity map with the evidence available for each role.
- A source-linked findings record distinguishing supported facts, claims, conflicts and unknowns.
- A pre-commitment question list and recommended independent checks.
- A decision summary tied to your stated order/payment question, with remaining limitations.
What to prepare for your brief
- Chinese and English company names, website, contact and claimed factory address.
- Business licence and the product/model you intend to buy, where available.
- Quotation, proposed order/contract, invoice and beneficiary information relevant to the review.
- Documents you want checked and the upcoming decision or deadline. Use the initial form to describe them; do not paste account passwords or unnecessary sensitive data.
Quotation method and indicative fees
Use the Managed Supplier Decision Report range for a scoped company-evidence review; a pre-payment verification review has a different depth and transaction focus. They are indicative options, not automatically cumulative. The quotation identifies entities, documents, checks, deliverables and exclusions. Visits, issuer confirmation, legal advice and tests are additional only if agreed.
- Managed Supplier Decision Report
- US$100-US$500
- Pre-payment verification review
- US$250-US$1,000
Indicative USD ranges from our Services & Pricing page. Your written quotation controls the fee, deliverables, payment arrangements and separate charges.
Timing and readiness
Timing depends on the entities/documents, registry access, supplier responses and independent confirmations. Tell us when a deposit or other decision is due. We confirm availability and delivery timing after review; sending a request does not clear a payment.

- Public records can be incomplete, inaccessible, outdated or difficult to match across names. Findings are bounded by the available evidence and review date.
- A review does not certify documents, provide legal advice, conduct a physical audit or authenticate a bank transfer.
- An earlier successful order does not validate changed entities, bank details, models or production sites.
Questions about china supplier verification
Is a business licence enough?
No. It can help identify the registered entity, but does not alone establish the exact production role, authority to contract, product quality or payment safety. Check its relationship to the seller and beneficiary.
Can a legitimate supplier use another company to export?
It can have an explained commercial arrangement, but the relationship and responsibilities need evidence. A mismatch is a question to resolve, not something to dismiss or automatically call fraud.
Does a certificate prove my product complies in my country?
Not necessarily. Check the exact model, issuer, standard, scope and destination requirements with an appropriate specialist. Company-level certificates and marketing badges may not cover the product you plan to import.
What if I have already paid?
Describe the situation and preserve the order, payment and communications. We can discuss an evidence review, but cannot reverse transfers or promise recovery. Time-sensitive payment concerns should also go directly to your bank and appropriate advisers.
