01
Service scope
What does ChinaConnect247 provide directly?
ChinaConnect247 is the buyer's single coordination point for the agreed sourcing workflow. We directly provide buyer-requirement collection, supplier and product research, public-evidence organization, business-card and fair-encounter records, supplier comparisons, product-evidence review, quotation and sample tracking, landed-cost organization, follow-up coordination, and buyer decision reports. We coordinate approved specialist work and keep the evidence and next decisions connected, while each independent provider remains responsible for its own services. The exact deliverables are confirmed in writing before paid work begins.
Which services are performed by independent third parties?
Work requiring physical execution, a licence, accreditation, regulated judgment, or specialist marketplace access may be performed by clearly identified independent providers. Examples include factory audits, inspections, laboratory testing, legal work, certification applications, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, insurance, warehousing, fulfilment, photography, and marketplace account services. ChinaConnect247 can coordinate the approved scope, handoffs, evidence, and follow-up so the buyer has one working contact, but it does not become the laboratory, lawyer, broker, carrier, insurer, or marketplace operator. Availability depends on the product, destination, scope, and provider.
Can you prepare an RFQ and product specification for suppliers?
Yes, as a managed documentation service. We can organize a consistent supplier brief covering product requirements, materials, dimensions, performance, branding, MOQ tiers, tooling, samples, packaging, labels, manuals, lead times, quality criteria, Incoterms, and shipping assumptions. Technical, safety, regulatory, and legal requirements still require approval by the buyer and appropriately qualified specialists. The purpose is to make quotations more comparable and expose missing decisions.
Can you source products from 1688, Alibaba, and factories?
We can research and compare relevant suppliers and products across 1688, Alibaba, manufacturer websites, trade directories, exhibitions, and other available sources. A listing or badge does not prove factory status or suitability for a specific order, so sourcing may be followed by entity checks, supplier questions, samples, a visit, or inspection. Negotiation, purchasing, and ongoing procurement are included only when stated in the approved managed-service scope.
02
Pricing and engagement
How much do ChinaConnect247 services cost?
A managed Supplier Decision Report costs approximately $100 to $500 and is normally required as the first stage of a new managed sourcing engagement unless we confirm that sufficient current evidence already exists. Pre-payment reviews typically range from $250 to $1,000; RFQ and sample planning from $300 to $1,500; factory-visit coordination starts at $300, with typical visit packages of $400 to $800; inspections generally range from $400 to $1,500 per visit; and larger managed programmes range from $1,500 to $50,000. All prices are indicative USD ranges. The written quotation states what is included, which third-party charges are separate, the payment schedule, and any taxes, travel, freight, testing, legal, official, or product costs that are excluded.
03
Research and evidence
Is a supplier research report a guarantee that the supplier is safe?
No. A report organizes public evidence, identifies consistencies and conflicts, and highlights questions that still require verification. It cannot guarantee future conduct, product quality, delivery, solvency, regulatory acceptance, or the safety of a payment. Buyers should combine research with contracts, samples, appropriate inspections, payment controls, and qualified advice.
Can you confirm whether a supplier is a factory or trading company?
We can investigate the available evidence, ask for the legal company and production-site details, compare claims across records, and arrange further verification where available. We report the conclusion supported by the evidence and clearly mark uncertainty. A booth, website, business licence, or factory visit alone does not prove that a company manufactures every product it sells.
Can you check whether certificates match the supplier, model, and destination market?
We can compare the names, model references, issuing body, dates, product descriptions, standards, and destination-market context shown in the available documents. This is a consistency check, not authentication or regulatory approval. A qualified laboratory, certification body, regulator, or specialist may still need to verify validity and applicability.
What happens if evidence is incomplete or conflicting?
We preserve the conflict instead of filling the gap with an assumption. Reports distinguish supported claims, supplier statements, public evidence, observations, inconsistencies, and unresolved questions. We may request additional documents, recommend a call or site visit, or advise that the buyer should not proceed until a material issue is resolved.
Can ChinaConnect247 find the original manufacturer behind a product?
We can search product images, model numbers, Chinese and international marketplaces, repeated listings, company records, addresses, factory media, tooling claims, and production evidence to identify likely manufacturers. We cannot guarantee that there is one original manufacturer: common ODM products may share shells, moulds, components, or assembly sources, and an intermediary may refuse to disclose its factory. We state the strongest supported conclusion and what remains unconfirmed.
04
Orders and quality
Does receiving a successful sample mean the bulk order is safe?
No. A successful sample shows that one acceptable item was supplied. It does not prove that the bulk order will use the same materials, components, workmanship, packaging, factory, or production controls. For a meaningful order, the approved sample should be connected to written specifications, change restrictions, production evidence, inspection criteria, and appropriate payment milestones.
How should a first order be controlled before scaling?
Treat the first meaningful order as a controlled pilot, not proof of long-term reliability. Define the exact product, approved sample, quantity, packaging, labels, components, defect criteria, Incoterm, dates, evidence, change restrictions, and inspection or acceptance points in writing. Scale only after reviewing actual production quality, communication, delivery performance, corrective action, and full landed cost. ChinaConnect247 can coordinate the plan; the buyer approves the order and payment exposure.
05
Managed services
Can you arrange factory visits and inspections?
We can help define the purpose and scope, collect supplier and factory details, and coordinate a suitable visit or inspection provider where available. The provider, location, timing, price, inspection criteria, deliverables, and responsibility boundaries must be approved separately. A visit is not a substitute for inspecting the actual production order before shipment.
What should a pre-shipment inspection cover?
The approved scope may include inspection at the ready-goods location, inspector-selected random cartons, quantity and carton count, model and specifications, appearance, basic function, materials or components where testable, labels, packaging, accessories, carton markings, defects, and comparison with the purchase specification and approved sample. Product-specific tests and acceptance limits must be agreed before the visit. An inspection samples evidence at a point in time and does not guarantee every unit.
Can you coordinate custom packaging, warehousing, fulfilment, and shipping to the US or Canada?
We can coordinate packaging requirements and suitable independent logistics or fulfilment providers, subject to product, volume, origin, destination, marketplace, and provider eligibility. Work may cover boxes, inserts, manuals, labels, barcodes, preparation, freight comparisons, receiving, storage, fulfilment, and returns planning. No shipping speed, customs outcome, warehouse acceptance, or delivery date is guaranteed unless the responsible provider expressly includes it in its approved service terms.
06
Payments and logistics
Do you handle payments or protect deposits?
No. ChinaConnect247 is not a bank, escrow service, payment processor, insurer, or guarantor. We can help compare the contracting company, invoice issuer, and payment beneficiary, and flag unexplained changes. Buyers remain responsible for choosing an appropriate payment method, independently confirming bank details, and obtaining legal or financial advice where needed.
Do you act as the importer of record, freight forwarder, customs broker, or warehouse?
No. We can help organize requirements, compare quotations, clarify responsibilities, collect documents, and coordinate suitable independent providers. The appointed importer, broker, forwarder, carrier, insurer, or warehouse remains responsible for its own regulated and operational services under a separate scope.
Does an Alibaba Verified Supplier badge or Trade Assurance guarantee the order?
No. Platform verification and Trade Assurance may reduce particular risks, but they do not guarantee quality, delivery, customs clearance, or recovery in every dispute. Any protection depends on the specific order's eligibility, written terms, evidence, deadlines, communications, and required platform payment process. Keep material specifications, packaging, inspection criteria, delivery terms, and remedies inside the applicable order contract.
What supplier checks can you perform before payment?
Depending on the scope and available evidence, we can compare the Chinese legal name, registration status, registered address, business scope, supplier and marketplace identity, invoice issuer, payment beneficiary, product capability, certificates, quotation, and contact details. We flag mismatches and unexplained changes. This is decision support, not payment protection, and the buyer must independently confirm bank details through a trusted channel before every transfer.
What should buyers check in a DDP quotation?
Confirm the named destination and delivery point, Incoterm version, freight mode, duties, import VAT or tax, customs clearance, importer responsibility, product restrictions, documentation, insurance, destination charges, exclusions, and what happens if customs or a carrier requests more money. DDP wording alone does not prove that every charge or legal responsibility is covered. A licensed customs or tax specialist should confirm destination-country obligations where required.
07
Marketplace services
Do you create marketplace listings or manage Amazon accounts and advertising?
These are not standard platform functions. ChinaConnect247 can support product, competitor, review, packaging, and launch-readiness research. Listing creation, account management, Brand Registry, compliance submissions, advertising, PPC, appeals, and customer-service operations may be coordinated with a suitable marketplace specialist under a separately approved scope.
Can you help align private-label compliance documents for Amazon or another marketplace?
We can compare the brand, model, manufacturer, product identity, test report, laboratory, certificate, packaging, label, manual, and listing information and identify apparent mismatches. We can also coordinate a marketplace, laboratory, or compliance specialist where needed. This does not authenticate documents, establish product safety, guarantee that a laboratory is accepted, or guarantee marketplace approval.
08
Specialist decisions
Do you provide legal, regulatory, patent, trademark, or certification advice?
No. ChinaConnect247 can collect documents, organize questions, identify apparent gaps, and coordinate appropriately qualified specialists. Final legal, intellectual-property, regulatory, laboratory, and certification conclusions must come from professionals qualified for the relevant product and jurisdiction.
09
Providers and commercial terms
How are third-party providers selected and paid?
Providers are considered according to service scope, location, product experience, qualifications where relevant, evidence standards, availability, and commercial fit. Before paid third-party work begins, the buyer receives the provider identity, scope, expected deliverables, known charges, payment route, and responsibility boundaries. Provider work may be paid directly or included in an agreed managed-service quotation; the arrangement is confirmed before approval.
Does ChinaConnect247 receive commissions or payments from suppliers?
ChinaConnect247 does not accept undisclosed supplier payments in exchange for an independent research ranking or recommendation. If a supplier, service provider, or referral partner has a commercial relationship with ChinaConnect247 that is relevant to a recommendation, we disclose that relationship to the buyer. Buyers may request the applicable service and coordination fee structure in writing before proceeding.
Will buyers receive the factory identity and original quotations?
Where the information is provided and may lawfully be shared, we preserve the supplier or factory identity and the original quotation or evidence rather than silently replacing it with an unsupported summary. We tell the buyer when a factory identity cannot be confirmed, when an intermediary does not disclose it, or when a quotation comes from a trader or service provider rather than directly from a factory.
Who selects and pays the inspector?
ChinaConnect247 can propose an inspector based on location, product, scope, credentials, evidence requirements, availability, and price. The buyer receives the inspector or inspection-company identity, attendance plan, scope, price, deliverables, and any relevant commercial relationship before approval. Whether the buyer pays the provider directly or through a managed ChinaConnect247 quotation is stated in writing. A supplier-arranged check is not automatically treated as independent.
How can I verify ChinaConnect247 and an independent provider before paying?
Ask for the contracting identity, written scope, named contact, deliverables, assumptions, price, payment recipient, responsibility boundaries, and cancellation terms. For an independent provider, also request relevant licences, accreditation, insurance, sample reports, or references where appropriate and available. Confirm payment instructions through a trusted channel. ChinaConnect247 will identify whether the provider contracts directly with the buyer or works inside a managed quotation.
What happens if a provider is late, an inspection is disputed, or a service is cancelled?
The written quotation or provider agreement controls timing, cancellation, rescheduling, rework, refunds, complaints, and liability. ChinaConnect247 coordinates communication, records the evidence, and follows up on an approved service, but it does not silently assume the legal or professional liability of an independent provider. Buyers should not assume that a booking fee, travel cost, laboratory charge, or completed visit is automatically refundable.
10
Starting and timing
What information is required to start research?
Send the supplier name and any business card, website, product link, catalogue, quotation, model number, booth details, photographs, or messages you already have. We also need the product you are considering, intended destination market, expected order quantity, target customer, branding requirements, and the decision you are trying to make. More precise inputs normally produce more useful research.
How long do research, visits, samples, and inspections take?
There is no universal timeline. Research depth depends on the company and available evidence. Visits depend on location and provider availability. Samples depend on customization and production. Inspections depend on order readiness, scope, and site access. We provide an estimate after reviewing the request, but do not guarantee a fixed completion time unless it is explicitly included in an agreed scope.
11
Responsibility and risk
Does ChinaConnect247 guarantee product quality, delivery, compliance, or marketplace sales?
No. Research, coordination, inspections, samples, and reports reduce uncertainty but cannot eliminate commercial risk or guarantee supplier performance, product quality, delivery dates, customs clearance, regulatory acceptance, marketplace approval, rankings, demand, margin, or sales. Final purchasing and investment decisions remain with the buyer.
12
Privacy and records
How are buyer, supplier, and commercial records protected?
Private My Fair records require authentication and are filtered to the signed-in owner. Original evidence and structured records are retained so decisions remain traceable. When information must be shared with an approved external provider, we limit it to what is needed for that task. No online system can promise absolute security; the Privacy notice explains collection, use, sharing, retention, and available account-data controls.
Still deciding?
Bring us the supplier, product, and decision you are facing.
We will explain what ChinaConnect247 can handle, where an independent provider is required, and what remains your decision before paid work begins.
The answers describe general service boundaries and do not replace a project-specific written scope, provider agreement, legal advice, regulatory review, laboratory conclusion, insurance policy, or purchase decision.
